7 QUESTIONS ASKED AND ANSWERED FOR ‘THE REAL NEAT BLOG’ AWARD

I have now been deemed as weird by my siblings for liking almond milk…

A big thank-you to It’s An Anime Thing for nominating me for this award! Their blog is super awesome so definitely head on other there if you don’t already follow them! They also have their own YouTube channel and a brand new podcast, so there’s lots of awesome content to go through!

The rules are as follows:

And now to answer the questions!

1. Which anime would you choose to live in if you had the chance?

   

   Any anime with a world that’s like ours currently is? Like, a pretty realistic one would be nice I suppose? I don’t really know, I’m just mainly trying to avoid ending up being somewhere where I’ll be eaten by titans or a ghoul, or killed by a sociopath, or trapped in a video game, or have to survive an epidemic virus…

2. Describe your dream life!

   

   Hmm… I’d like a job that I enjoy! And I wouldn’t mind if I had to work longer hours, so long as I could manage to have a work-life balance. I’d love to live in an apartment with white walls and brighter lights, and it would be decorated how I’d like (so lots of colourful things, books and cute nick-nacks would be around the place! It would also be very organised!) 🙂 And I’d like to maintain friendships and be social, get to see my family and also travel as much as I could! Domesticity is really appealing to me too, so that’d definitely be there! I’d also love to have a cat!

3. Pretend you’re in Alice in Wonderland! Which character will you be and what will you do?

   

   This question’s so hard! >_< The Mad Hatter is my favourite character, but then I wouldn’t want to be him… But then I couldn’t be the Cheshire Cat because I don’t think I’d be a very good Cheshire Cat… Though I would love to disappear and speak very cryptically… But then he doesn’t have many friends really! Though I suppose in some adaptions he hangs out with the other characters and they all get along well… So I’d go for him!

4. Would you time travel 10 years back or 10 years to the future?

   

   I feel like I’d be too depressed if I travelled 10 years into the future if, as a global nation, we haven’t made much progress in ending global warming, improving our hunting/fishing habits and still have the amount of hatred that we have in societies today and the unwillingness that we often have to not help those in need… Plus I was only 7 back 10 years ago, so I think it wouldn’t be too bad to relive a bit of my life as a 7-year-old me!

5. When in this timeline, what will you do?

   

   I’d be way too nervous about stuffing up the timeline continuum or whatever happens when people time travel. So I’d just stick to exactly what I did back then, or at least try to act how I think 7-year-old me would have acted. And all that would really entail is being quiet, shy and pretending to like maths (for some unknown, strange reason back in year 2 I wrote down on my ‘get to know me’ sheet that maths was my favourite subject? And look at me now… English was my favourite subject through years 8 to 12 and now I’ve started doing a dual degree that’s heavily English based…)

6. Would you talk to your older/younger self? What will you be talking about?

   

   Probably pep-talking them through their life. Trying to do that whole ‘set-them-up-with-the-right-mind-frame-so-they-aren’t-a-mess-when-they’re-older’ thing.

7. What is something you’re hoping to accomplish this year?

   

   I’d like to take up art again. I used to paint and draw quite a lot but I stopped a few years ago now. I really do miss it though and despite being pretty nervous about taking it up again (because well, I haven’t done anything in years and I don’t have a natural talent for it so I did have to practise quite a lot for it be decent), I’d love to pick it up again.
